D' Japanese Tunnel Family Resort in Davao


A Japanese tunnel that was carved by the prisoners of war dated way back during the World WarII at the hilly part of Matina Balusong, Davao City. The tunnel was discovered by the owner while they were excavating the area to build a hotel. Owner then named it as D' Japanese Tunnel Family Resort which now consists of a restaurant and a hotel. It also became one of the major tourist attraction of the city. 

The resort has a three storey hotel which consists a number of air-conditioned rooms, they also have an outdoor pool for the guests. They also has a restaurant serving different kind of Chinese, Filipino, Japanese delicacies. And the main attraction of the resort, the 300 meter deep Japanese built tunnel.

HOW TO GET THERE

Located near the end of the Diversion Road in Matina Balusong towards the junction of MacArthur Highway in Matina area, the Resort is easily accessible by public or private transportation, and is only 20 minutes drive from downtown city proper.
